format in Monster

For some reason the format of the book really confuses me, but it is also different so I like it. I can almost never understand who is talking until the end of the line or something

  1. I think that Walter Dean Myers might be playing with his readers a bit. Do you think he might want us to think that ANYONE could be saying what is being said. I wonder if he thinks that any of us, no matter who we are, might be capable of murder... What do you think?

  4. Yeah I agree with jake. I think that the transition between the description of whats going on, the script, and his journals is very confusing. But it is still a great book

  5. yeah it is a great book but it is confusing with the book going from his journal to the script, but i think that Walter Dean Myers has a purpose for it

  6. Yeah, when it goes to Steve's journal it kind of lets us see him as a human and not a criminal on trial for murder
